“Ah, Sovereign Lord, You have made the heavens and the earth by Your great power and outstretched arm. Nothing is too hard for You.”  Jeremiah 32:17

When I was growing up, I really liked Star Trek. When the Next Generation came out, I was hooked from beginning to end. They traveled and explored the universe, encountering new life forms and old enemies.  It was a great adventure every week.  Yet now I know that life with Jesus is all that and much, much more.

Every day with the Lord has unimagined possibilities:
“No eye has seen,  no ear has heard, and no human mind has conceived the things God has prepared for those who love Him…”
1 Corinthians 2:9

Forgiveness. Salvation. Deliverance. Freedom. Healing. Reconciliation. Miracles of every kind. Joy. Peace. Love. Seeing the invisible. Wisdom from above. Hearing God. Knowing God. Rescuing the lost.Worshipping God unhindered. Living life full to the brim and overflowing with the Lord and King of everything.

What’s possible in this adventure of faith?  Everything.

“‘If you can’?” said Jesus. “Everything is possible for one who believes.”
Mark 9:23

Whenever the Captain was ready to head out into the unknown, He would point straight ahead and command the person at the helm to “Engage!” and the ship would rocket out.

“I will exalt You, my God the King;
    I will praise Your name for ever and ever.
Every day I will praise You
    and extol Your name for ever and ever.
Great is the Lord and most worthy of praise;

    His greatness no one can fathom.
One generation commends Your works to another;

    they tell of Your mighty acts.
They speak of the glorious splendor of Your majesty—
    and I will meditate on Your wonderful works.
They tell of the power of Your awesome works—
    and I will proclaim Your great deeds.
They celebrate Your abundant goodness

    and joyfully sing of Your righteousness.
The Lord is gracious and compassionate

    slow to anger and rich in love.
The Lord is good to all;

    He has compassion on all he has made.
 All your works praise You, Lord;

    Your faithful people extol You.
They tell of the glory of Your kingdom

    and speak of Your might,
so that all people may know of Your mighty acts
     and the glorious splendor of Your kingdom.
Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom,
     and Your dominion endures through all generations.”
Psalm 145:1-13
