OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAWe have a heart for the nations.

God has provided us many opportunities to serve Him locally and around the world.  Our members hear the Spirit calling them out and they go with our blessing and support.

Lighthouse Korean U.M. Church

Dr. and Mrs. Cho began LKUMC in 2009 as a new church start in our Eastern Pennsylvania Conference which meets on the second floor of our education building.  They and their members work faithfully with great love to reach the Korean-speaking peoples of our area. For more information about their ministry among us, call the church office or Dr. Cho directly at 215-690-4919.

We give to UMCOR  (The United Methodist Committee on Relief) for disaster relief and reconstruction efforts world-wide. 100% of giving through UMCOR is used for relief and rebuilding efforts.

Edgehill NHR WorshipEdgehill NHR
Every second Sunday of the month we send a team of worshipers to love on the residents of our local nursing home and rehab center.  We sing together, pray, worship, hear the Word and dispense hugs liberally.

In 2013 we started our first food garden on our property to grow and provide fresh vegetables to local food banks. This year we are teamed up with Loaves & Fishes, the youth from Carson Simpson Farm Camp, and our local Brownie Troop raising a bumper crop of fresh vegetables in our 12 raised garden beds.  90% the vegetables raised are donated to local food banks and to those in need of fresh food.  See JoAnne C. and join us in the harvest!

food_3colEggs! 1st Sunday 2nd Offering
Every first Sunday of the month we receive a second offering
to purchase food cards to give away and we collect dozens of fresh eggs (hundreds of dozens!) for our local food bank to distribute.

food_9437cShop with Scrip – The first Sunday of every month we place an order for food gift cards through our Scrip program with monies received through our 1st Sunday 2nd Offering for those in need locally.  We provide thousands of dollars a year in food cards to families and individuals in food crisis.

Members can also purchase gift cards at face value and the church receives a percentage back from the companies for ministry. There are thousands of companies to choose from through Shop with Scrip and you spend no more, get the same value, and the church gets money for ministry! Information is available outside of the church office or see JoAnne C.

Loaves & Fishes
We have an ongoing food collection for our local food bank at Jenkintown United Methodist Church.

Meals for friends
We keep a stocked freezer full of fresh frozen microwaveable meals for anyone in need of a good hot meal.

The Red Bird Mission of The United Methodist Church
in Southeast Kentucky – We collect Campbell Soup Labels for Education. 2 million soup labels can “purchase” a new 14-passenger van to transport students.  We also collect Box Tops for Education which are redeemed for computer systems and classroom supplies for the school.  Look for the container outside of the church office and click on the link for more information.

We collect Aluminum Tabs for the Ronald McDonald House of Philadelphia.  Look for the container outside of the church office and click on the link for more information.
