Seasonal Missions through LFUMC

We here at LFUMC focus on a few very special populations as we give Jesus away during the Advent/Christmas Season. There are many ways to participate! Check out our events page.

Advent Conspiracy
Our Annual Advent Conspiracy Offering provides student scholarships for children in the Naskal Village area. Buy a mission gift certificate to give the gift of an education for our students in India. Click here for details!

Norristown Stockings
Every year Carol H. organizes and collects the materials for stockings for the residents of Norristown State Hospital. (Thanks, Carol!) We stuff the stockings the first Sunday in December following Worship.

Women’s Missions
At the Women’s Christmas Party the first Tuesday in December at 7:00 pm we collect gifts for the residents of Edgehill Nursing Home for our annual Christmas celebration with them on the second Sunday in December.  Check our events page for the items we are collecting this year.

Christmas at Edgehill Nursing Home & Rehab
On the second Sunday of December we visit Edgehill NHR for a special Christmas worship beginning at 2:00 pm with caroling and the Christmas Story.  We have cookies and lovely gifts for all of the residents. Join us and spread the love of Jesus.  Check our events page for more information.

Spread the love of Jesus in Hope Park
Twice a month we go to Hope Park in Kensington to love on the residents, addicted and homeless.  We greet, and hug, and pray for, and bless with whatever we can give away:  warm clothes, food, Bibles, and more.  Join us and give hope.  Check our events page for dates and times.

PAHrtner’s Christmas Pizza Party, Dingo & Live Nativity
We have a Pizza Party with plenty of fresh cookies and prizes for the 3rd Sunday of Advent with our Deaf friends! After lunch we all join in to tell the story of Christ’s birth and play a round of Dingo!  We collect Christmas mugs filled with candies for the prize table and platters of homemade Christmas Cookies for dessert. Join us for this wonderful celebration. Check our events page for more information.

“What can I do?”

Sing carols, hug and smile, buy a scholarship certificate, stuff a stocking, drop off needed items, and be present as we become the arms and face of Jesus to a whole lot of people.
