“For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. For it is written:  “I will destroy the wisdom of the wise; the intelligence of the intelligent I will frustrate.”… For the foolishness of God is wiser than human wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than human strength.”
1 Corinthians 1:18-19, 25 NIV

In life I am confronted with situations that require, even demand, an answer.

I am frustrated when I am unable to meet the needs of others, which is often.

I pull on all of my resources and still fall far short in the face of need, distress, sickness, and death.

Just last night, I realized that my frustration is due in large part to trying to meet others needs with anything less than Jesus.

Jesus knows the answer, He has the answer, He is the answer. Only Jesus!

Jesus is the One I am spending my life getting to know, He is my only treasure and the only answer I have worth giving. So while I attempt to meet corporal needs: food, housing, clothes, et cetera; I understand that all problems are met (and overcome) in Jesus; including the roots of poverty, sin, injustice, sickness, fear, hatred and death!

My hope is in Jesus.  I will tell you plainly that my goal is to make Him known to you, to direct you to Him Who is love, to encourage you to trust Him, to declare to you that He is completely faithful and desires to meet you in your challenges and conquer them through you.  His hope does not disappoint.  His love never fails. He is the way. He is truth. He is life.

Please forgive me for trying to offer you anything else. I, too, am constantly learning to trust Him.

“When I came to you, I did not come with eloquence or human wisdom as I proclaimed to you the testimony about God. For I resolved to know nothing while I was with you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified. I came to you in weakness with great fear and trembling. My message and my preaching were not with wise and persuasive words, but with a demonstration of the Spirit’s power, so that your faith might not rest on human wisdom, but on God’s power.”
